Velvet

Velvet keeps its vocabulary of shapes deliberately short — a crew, a henley, a hoodie, a jogger — and lets the cloth carry everything else. Those same few garments come back in different fabrics: cotton spun with slub texture, jersey light enough to fall rather than sit, modal brushed soft on its inside face. A plain shape hides nothing, which is why every gram of the fabric ends up on show.

So the range sorts by role rather than by look. The lightest knits go under something else. A henley stands in when a shirt would be too much. French terry and fleece take over when it turns cold, and mid-weight jersey covers most of what sits in between. Sizing runs easy rather than tight throughout, and the colours stay quiet enough that any two pieces work together.

Velvet

What is slub cotton?

Slub is a yarn spun with deliberate thick-and-thin variation along its length, so the finished knit has a subtly irregular, textured surface rather than a flat one. It reads as broken-in from the first wear and disguises creasing better than a smooth jersey does. The texture comes from the yarn itself rather than a finish applied afterwards, so it does not wash out. Expect slight variation between garments.

How do I keep soft cotton tees from shrinking?

Heat is what shrinks cotton jersey, and the dryer does more damage than the wash. Use a cold, gentle cycle, turn garments inside out, and skip fabric softener, which builds up and dulls the hand over time. Dry flat or on a low setting and remove while slightly damp. Lightweight whisper-weight knits in particular hold their shape better hung to dry than tumbled in a machine.

Are DIHSAN's Velvet pieces authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.
