Men's Tops
Weight and collar settle a men's top long before the print on it does. Jersey sits at the light end, where T-shirts run from fine and close to heavy and boxy, and tank tops cut away at the shoulder entirely. Polo shirts lift the same jersey with a short placket and a ribbed collar, while hoodies and sweatshirts move up in weight through looped-back cotton and brushed fleece.
Above that the range splits between knitted and woven. Sweaters carry the shape themselves, crew, V and roll necks among them, and cardigans do the same work with a button front that opens; shirts hold their line from the cloth, casual weights worn loose against dress shirts cut for a stiffer collar and a buttoned cuff. Expect combed cotton, merino and lambswool, poplin, oxford and ribbed trims that hold their shape through washing.
