Diesel cuts across a wide range at once, from skinny and slim legs through straight and relaxed to wider tapered shapes, and the rise moves with them. Stretch content matters as much as the stated cut: a rigid straight leg stands away from the body while a stretch slim follows it closely. Read the rise and the leg opening together, since one waist measurement can wear very differently.

Wash them as little as the jeans will allow. When you do, turn them inside out, use cold water and a mild detergent with no bleach or optical brighteners, and choose a short, gentle cycle. Hang them to dry rather than tumbling, since heat is what shrinks the cotton and flattens the contrast between the light and dark areas the treatment created. Spot-clean small marks in between.
