Women's Face Masks
How a mask is held on decides whether you still notice it after ten minutes. Elastic ear loops are the quickest to put on and the fastest to chafe; adjustable loops with sliders take the pressure off the ear. Behind-the-head ties and toggles spread that tension across the skull instead, which suits longer wear and anyone in glasses.
Shape changes the fit as much as the strap does. Flat pleated panels expand across the face, while contoured and moulded cuts hold a little space in front of the mouth. Some carry a nose wire that shapes to the bridge, others a seam at the chin. Cotton poplin and jersey sit soft against the skin, silk and satin move over it, and technical knits hold a firmer shape, with jacquards, prints and tonal embroidery on top.
