MEN'S

Men's Vests

A vest is a layering decision before it is anything else: warmth over the core, nothing at the arm. Puffer styles make up most of it, quilted into channels that trap loft — down fills warmest for its weight and packs down small, while synthetic fill keeps insulating when wet. Baffle size is the tell: wide channels read casual and bulky, narrow quilting sits flat enough to go under a coat.

Hooded versions extend the same idea upward, with a fixed or stowable hood that takes the vest from a mid-layer to something worn alone. Shells are usually tightly woven nylon or polyester with a water-repellent finish, and closures split between a full-length zip and a snap placket; fit should allow a knit underneath without pulling, and stop at the belt rather than below the hip.

Frequently asked questions

All FAQ's

Men's Vests

Is down or synthetic fill better in a puffer vest?

Down gives more warmth per gram and compresses smaller, which is why it packs into a bag well; its weakness is moisture, since wet down clumps and stops insulating until fully dried. Synthetic fill is heavier and bulkier for the same warmth but keeps working damp, dries in hours rather than a day, and washes without special care. For dry cold and travel choose down; for wet coastal winters or hard wear, choose synthetic.

What does the fill power number on a down vest mean?

Fill power measures loft, not quantity: the volume in cubic inches that one ounce of down occupies. 550 is entry level, 650 to 700 is a good everyday range, and 800 and above is high-performance down giving the same warmth at lower weight. It says nothing about how much down is in the garment, so a thin 800-fill vest can be cooler than a thick 600-fill one. Read fill power and fill weight together.

Are DIHSAN's vests authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN vest order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a vest purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible vests can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
