The seam should land partway down the upper arm rather than on the shoulder bone, because that is what creates the wide, relaxed line these pieces are cut for. If the seam sits at the natural shoulder the piece is too small for the intended look, and if it reaches the elbow the body will overwhelm the frame. Body length matters too: the hem should clear the waistband without approaching mid-thigh.

Intarsia is a technique where blocks of differently coloured yarn are worked into the fabric itself rather than printed or embroidered on afterwards. The result is a logo or motif that exists in the knit structure, with no stiff patch on the inside and no risk of the design cracking or peeling the way a print eventually can. Colour joins can loosen, so ease a snagged yarn back rather than pulling it.
