Men's Bucket Bags
Depth is the argument. A body cut as a cylinder rather than a flat panel takes a jacket, a laptop sleeve and a pair of shoes at once without being pulled out of shape, and a drawcord top gathers around whatever is inside rather than fighting it. That is a different proposition from a messenger bag, which is built to lie flat against the back and keeps its line only when lightly loaded.
Men's versions tend to run structured: heavier leather, coated canvas or technical nylon, with a base firm enough to stand on its own and a strap long enough to cross the body. Some leave the drawcord visible as the closure; others hide it under a flap or a magnetic tab. Check the base and the strap anchors first, because those two points carry the load and decide whether the shape holds when full.
