Women's Belts
Width decides where a belt can sit before anything else does. A narrow strap of two or three centimetres threads through jean loops and disappears under a jacket. Mid-width styles hold their own over a dress or a coat, cinching a silhouette without dominating it. Wide corset and obi belts wrap the waist as a garment in their own right.
Buckles do the rest of the talking: pin buckles through punched holes, logo plaques, square and rectangular frames, and D-rings that fasten by threading the strap back through itself. Chain belts skip the buckle entirely, and some styles are reversible on a buckle that rotates so the strap can be flipped. Leather runs smooth, grained, patent and suede, alongside woven raffia and elastic stretch panels; the hardware itself comes polished, brushed or matte.
