Each piece is built around a single gesture: a strap that ties instead of buckling, a bodice cut on one shoulder, a skirt that wraps and knots at the hip. Jacquemus womenswear works by stripping out everything that would compete with that one move, which is why the clothes photograph as plainly as they do.

Material supplies the warmth the silhouettes leave out: linen, raffia, crochet and open knit set against smooth leather and bleached cotton. Bags are scaled to the occasion rather than to what they hold, from a top handle that carries almost nothing to shoulder and crossbody shapes built for a full day. Footwear keeps the same flat, sculptural line: squared toes, carved heels, a sandal held by a single strap. Nothing is fussy; it has simply been edited.

Which Jacquemus bag actually holds a phone and a wallet?

Not the smallest one. Le Chiquito in its original size is closer to jewellery than luggage. Le Bambino and the larger Chiquito sizes are where the range turns practical: the Bambino takes a phone, cards and keys, and a longer version drops to a crossbody length. Above those, the shoulder and tote shapes carry a full day without losing the house's flat, sculptural line.

How should raffia and open-weave Jacquemus pieces be cared for?

Keep them dry and keep them in shape. Raffia and straw absorb moisture and go limp, so store bags lightly stuffed and out of direct sun, which fades natural fibre unevenly. Loose crochet and open knits should be folded rather than hung, since the weight pulls the weave out of true on a hanger. Spot clean with a barely damp cloth and never soak them.

Are DIHSAN's Jacquemus pieces authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.
