Frame shape does most of the work, and lens coverage does the rest. Angular cat-eye, square and rectangular fronts cut a line across the face; round, oval and small wire frames soften it; aviators and butterfly shapes widen at the temple and sit close to the brow. Oversized and shield fronts cover from cheekbone to eyebrow, while narrow, shallow wraparound styles hold to the browline and read as a band across the face.

Lenses then set the mood, from soft gradients that fade towards the base to flat solid tints, mirrored surfaces and rose- or amber-cast washes. Rims are full, semi-rimless or absent altogether, which changes how much of the lens edge shows. Acetate carries colour and depth and holds a thick temple; metal and titanium keep the front thin, with adjustable nose pads, sprung hinges and detail set into the arm.

Women's Sunglasses

What do the three numbers inside the arms of sunglasses mean?

They are millimetre measurements printed in the order lens width, bridge width, temple length. A frame marked 55-17-140 has 55mm lenses, a 17mm gap across the nose and 140mm arms. Lens width usually falls between 40 and 62mm, bridges between 14 and 24mm, and arms between 120 and 150mm. Compare them against a pair you already wear well: bridge width governs whether the frame slides down, and temple length governs whether it grips behind the ear.

Which sunglasses shape suits a round face?

Angles counterbalance curves, so square, rectangular and geometric fronts add definition where a round face has none, and a cat-eye lifts the outer corner to lengthen the face visually. A strong straight browline along the top of the frame does the same job. Frames that echo the face, such as small round wire styles and soft ovals, tend to flatten it. As a rule of thumb the frame should be at least as wide as the widest part of your face.

Are DIHSAN's sunglasses authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN sunglasses order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return sunglasses bought at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible sunglasses can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
