Amsterdams Blauw is Scotch & Soda's own denim line, and the name is literal, since blauw is the Dutch word for blue. It covers the label's jeans across a spread of fits and washes, from skinny through straight to loose, and extends into denim outerwear. Pieces carrying the Amsterdams Blauw name are still Scotch & Soda; think of it as the house's denim workshop rather than a separate brand.

Most of the label's jackets, bombers and padded overshirts are drafted as layering pieces, so there is room across the chest and through the sleeve for a knit underneath rather than a slim shell fit. Sizing is not consistent from style to style, though, since a fitted bomber and a boxy overshirt are cut to very different proportions.
