MEN'S AND WOMEN'S
Medea
The shape starts somewhere disposable. Medea takes the flat-bottomed paper carrier from a boutique counter and rebuilds it in leather: squared corners, two upright top handles, a rigid body that stands unsupported on a table. An ordinary object becomes a structured Italian bag, and nothing else about it asks for attention.
The label works that one silhouette through a family of proportions rather than a parade of new shapes, so the range reads as Short, Tall and Hanna instead of a new handbag every season. It runs in smooth leather, calfskin, crocodile-embossed calfskin and a vinyl-covered finish, and colour carries the collection where hardware would elsewhere, from black, white and grey through powder blue, pale yellow and crimson. The fittings stay quiet throughout: a magnetic side snap on some styles, a removable crossbody strap on others.
