J Brand

Where a jean succeeds or fails is the stretch of cloth between hip and ankle, and that is the ground J Brand chose to fight on. The Los Angeles house made its name with a dark-wash skinny cut that held a clean line without pinching, and the logic has not shifted since; rise, taper and stretch are treated as one calculation rather than three separate ones.

The same lean proportion runs through the rest of the ready-to-wear, so trousers and jackets read as close relatives of the denim rather than a separate wardrobe. Washes move from deep raw indigo through worn greys to flat black, with coated and resin finishes lending a pair the harder surface of leather. Details stay quiet, because the fit is meant to do the talking.

J Brand

How does J Brand denim sizing work?

Denim is numbered in the premium convention, so a size corresponds roughly to a waist measurement in inches rather than to a standard dress size. Stretch content matters more than the number itself: a high-elastane skinny gives across the hip and settles after an hour of wear, while a rigid or low-stretch pair holds its measurement from the first fitting. Check the fabric composition listed on the product page, and if you fall between two sizes, take the larger one in a rigid pair and the smaller one in a high-stretch pair.

What is the difference between coated and standard denim?

A coated jean carries a resin or polyurethane layer applied over the dyed denim, which flattens the twill grain and gives the leg a slick, near-leather surface with far less visible fading. Standard denim keeps its open weave, breathes more freely and develops whiskering at the hip and knee over time. Coated pairs read darker under artificial light and suit evening wear, while uncoated pairs age into something more personal.

Are DIHSAN's J Brand pieces authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN J Brand piece order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a J Brand piece purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible J Brand pieces can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
