Crown height and brim width settle a hat long before the patch on the front says anything. Goorin Bros has been shaping both since 1895, when Cassel Goorin sold hats from a horse-drawn cart on the streets of Pittsburgh, and the range still splits neatly along that line — blocked felt crowns on one side, soft panelled caps on the other.

Fedoras and flat caps carry the older half of the vocabulary, formed in wool felt with a pinched or teardrop crown and a brim that can be snapped down at the front. Animal Farm sits opposite: trucker caps with a structured front panel, mesh back and snap closure, each carrying an embroidered animal patch that gives the cap its character. Straw, cotton and corduroy fill in between the two.

What is the Animal Farm collection?

Animal Farm is the Goorin Bros trucker line, built around an embroidered animal patch on the front panel, so the patch is effectively the identity of each cap. It began in the farmyard and has ranged well past it since. The construction stays consistent underneath — a structured front, mesh back panels for airflow and a snap closure at the rear.

What is the difference between a fedora and a flat cap?

A fedora is a brimmed hat with a tall crown that is pinched at the front and creased along the top, and it sits above the head with a defined gap between crown and skull. A flat cap has no separate crown at all: panels are sewn to a short stiffened peak so the whole thing lies close to the head. Fedoras read formal, flat caps read casual, and they size differently.

Are DIHSAN's Goorin Bros pieces authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.
