Pima is an extra-long-staple cotton, and the longer fibre is the difference. It spins into a smoother, stronger yarn, so a Vince Pima T-shirt feels softer against the skin, pills less and holds up to more wear. Vince uses it on its own for men's piqué and slub jersey and pairs it with modal in women's tees for a softer drape. Wash cool and dry flat or on low heat to limit shrinkage.

They share letter sizes but are cut on different blocks, so the same letter does not mean the same fit. A Vince men's medium is broader through the shoulder and chest, and longer in the body and sleeve, than a women's medium, while a women's block is narrower at the shoulder and shaped for the bust. To cross between the two, judge by chest width and body length rather than by the letter on the label.
