Vince builds its menswear outward from the T-shirt, changing the knit rather than the shape. The same crew neck turns up in Pima cotton piqué with a fine raised texture, in slub jersey whose uneven yarn gives a lived-in surface, and in a space-dyed thermal that holds warmth; the henley comes in a ribbed cotton with a little stretch. Double-layer styles, from tee to hoodie, join two colours of slub Pima.

Shirts take the same interest in texture: cabana shirts in a macro-waffle cotton blend or a cotton-hemp stripe, a gauzy double-face shirt with a pointed collar, a stretch-cotton plaid with a seersucker-like finish and a double-knit piqué shirt jacket. Around them sit a garment-dyed polo, a peached-fleece half-zip and a faux-sherpa zip jacket, with cotton-hemp shorts for warmer days.

What is a double-layer T-shirt, and is it warmer than a regular tee?

It is a T-shirt built from two layers of jersey rather than one, which makes it warmer and a little heavier than a regular tee. Vince sets the two layers in contrasting colours, and on its double-layer hoodie the second colour shows at the neckline and cuffs. The extra layer also gives the fabric more body, so it keeps its shape and works as a light mid-layer under a jacket in cooler weather.

What is a cabana shirt, and how is it meant to be worn?

A cabana shirt is a short-sleeved, button-front shirt made for warm weather and meant to be worn untucked, over shorts or trousers. Vince builds its cabana shirts on a shoulder yoke across the back, which helps them sit cleanly over the shoulders, sometimes with side pleats beneath it for room across the back. Cabana shirts are traditionally cut with some ease, so take your usual size and wear one buttoned on its own or open over a T-shirt.
