The t-box is the boxed device that appears as a print or an embroidery, usually placed at the back right; the pocket flag is the small tab set at the back pocket; the rat's tail is a finishing detail carried on the garment. Together they act as the identifying signature across denim and jersey, so a piece is usually recognisable by these details before any wordmark is visible.

Denim is sold by waist measurement in inches, with the leg line set by the fit name rather than the number. Heavily distressed and rigid washes give very little, so they wear closest to their stated size, while stretch-blended and lighter washes relax with wear. Because the same waist can read differently across two fits, work from the measurements listed on each pair rather than from the number alone.
