Women's Puffer Jackets

Baffles do the work in a puffer: how the channels are sewn decides where the warmth sits and how the jacket reads on the body. Sewn-through quilting keeps the outline slim and lets a little heat escape at every seam, while box-wall construction leaves the fill room to loft and looks fuller for it. Cropped and waist-length styles keep the volume high, mid-thigh puffers cover the seat, and full-length coats close the gap to the ankle.

Down fill runs warmest for its weight and packs down small; synthetic fill holds its insulation when wet and washes more easily. Nylon and recycled polyester shells carry the familiar sheen, while a matte or metallic finish changes it completely. Detachable hoods, faux-fur trims and storm cuffs decide how much weather the jacket actually shuts out, and a two-way zip lets you open the hem to sit or stride.

Women's Puffer Jackets

What is the difference between sewn-through and box-baffle quilting?

Sewn-through quilting stitches the outer and inner fabrics directly together to form the channels. It is lighter and keeps a slimmer outline, but every seam compresses the insulation and lets a little warmth escape. Box-baffle construction runs internal fabric walls between the two layers, so the fill lofts to its full depth and there are no cold seams. Box baffles are warmer and bulkier; sewn-through is the usual choice for lighter, packable jackets.

Is down or synthetic insulation better in a puffer jacket?

Down gives more warmth for its weight and compresses far smaller, which is why packable jackets almost always use it. Its weakness is moisture: wet down collapses and stops insulating until it is fully dry. Synthetic fill is heavier and bulkier for the same warmth, but it keeps most of its performance when damp, dries quickly and washes without special handling. For a wet coastal winter, synthetic or treated down is the safer choice.

Are DIHSAN's puffer jackets authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN puffer jacket order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Yes. Eligible puffer jackets can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
