Women's Biker Jackets

The zip sits off centre for a reason: it originally kept the closure clear of a fuel tank as a rider leaned forward, and it is still what separates this jacket from every other short leather cut. The details around it come from the same era — a wide notched or snap-down lapel, zipped side pockets, a buckled waist belt, and cuff zips that open wide enough to clear a glove. Cropped bodies stop at the waist; longer versions reach the hip and lose some of the attitude.

Hide decides the hand. Lambskin runs about 0.5 to 0.8mm and feels supple from the first wear but marks easily, calfskin sits in the middle at roughly 0.8 to 1.2mm, and cowhide at 1.0 to 1.4mm is heavier and far harder to scuff. Suede, nubuck and patent finishes change the surface again, while quilted panels, studs, zip trims and shearling collars decide how loud the jacket reads.

Women's Biker Jackets

Which leather is best for a biker jacket, lambskin or cowhide?

It depends on whether you want feel or resilience. Lambskin is about 0.5 to 0.8mm thick, supple from the first wear and lighter on the shoulders, but it scuffs and stretches more readily. Cowhide runs 1.0 to 1.4mm, feels stiff at first and takes months to break in, then lasts far longer and resists abrasion. Calfskin sits between the two at roughly 0.8 to 1.2mm and is the usual compromise.

How do you care for a leather jacket?

Wipe it down with a barely damp cloth after wear, and let anything wet dry at room temperature away from radiators, because direct heat cracks the grain. Condition once or twice a year with a leather balm applied thinly and buffed off, testing on an inside seam first. Hang it on a wide wooden or padded hanger so the shoulders keep their shape, never sealed in plastic. Suede and nubuck need a brush and protector spray instead.

Are DIHSAN's biker jackets authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN biker jacket order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a biker jacket purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible biker jackets can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
