Men's Jackets

Two things settle a jacket: how much warmth it holds and how much weather it turns away. Puffer jackets keep loft in stitched baffles, and down and shell styles split the job in two, insulation inside and a treated face fabric out. Windbreakers take the opposite route, thin and packable, built to cut wind rather than cold, while utility jackets sit between, lightly lined and pocketed throughout.

The rest are shaped by where they came from. Bomber jackets crop the body and finish collar, cuff and hem in rib; varsity jackets keep that shape and change material at the sleeve; track jackets zip straight through in smooth jersey; and biker jackets carry an asymmetric zip and notched lapels, in leather or something close. Denim jackets hold their line through the weave. Look for nylon ripstop, waxed cotton, wool melton and lambskin.

Men's Jackets

What does fill power mean on a down jacket?

Fill power measures how much space an ounce of down takes up when lofted, so it describes the quality of the down rather than how much is in the jacket. Around 550-650 is serviceable, 700-800 is very good, and 850 and above is expedition territory. High fill power gives the same warmth for less weight, but fill weight in grams matters as much: 200 g of 700-fill is warmer than 90 g of 800-fill.

What is the difference between a bomber and a varsity jacket?

Both are cropped and finished with ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, so the giveaway is the body. A bomber uses one material throughout, typically nylon, suede or leather, and closes with a zip. A varsity, or letterman, splits materials: a wool melton body with leather or vinyl sleeves, and a snap front rather than a zip. Varsity jackets also tend to carry chest lettering and contrast striping on the rib trims.

Are DIHSAN's jackets authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN jacket order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a jacket purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible jackets can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
