Men's Windbreaker Jackets
How much weather a windbreaker turns comes down to the shell. A tightly woven face fabric blocks wind on its own, and a water-repellent finish adds a margin against drizzle without making the jacket waterproof. Lightweight packable shells fold into their own pocket or a pouch; heavier coach jackets and half-zip anoraks hold more structure and more warmth.
Hoods differ by style: some are fixed, some adjust on a drawcord, some roll away into the collar, and plenty of jackets skip the hood altogether. Elastic or drawcord hems and elasticated cuffs set how close the jacket sits, mesh and taffeta linings decide how much air moves through it, and zip pockets keep contents in when the wind is up. Nylon and polyester carry the category, in matte, glossy and coated faces, often woven as ripstop so a small tear cannot run. Colour-blocked panels remain a long-running signature.
