A bomber is a jacket proper: ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, a zip front and a shorter, blousier body. Check the care label first, since fills differ. In general, wash sparingly and on a gentle cycle, use a mild detergent, and skip fabric conditioner, which coats the fill and flattens it. Dry the jacket fully; a low tumble with a couple of clean tennis balls helps redistribute the filling. Store it hanging with room around it rather than compressed at the end of a rail.
