Women's Blazers

A blazer is built on its shoulder line, and everything below follows from there. Single-breasted styles run cleanest, one or two buttons closing at the natural waist, while double-breasted cuts overlap the front and hold the torso square. Oversized and boyfriend shapes drop the shoulder past the joint and lengthen the sleeve; cropped versions stop at or just below the waist, and fitted cuts follow the body through to the hip. Longline versions carry past the seat, closer to a coat than a jacket.

Notch, peak and shawl lapels set the register, from the everyday to the evening. Wool crepe and gabardine hold a pressed edge, linen and cotton blends relax as the day goes on, and tweed, boucle and velvet bring texture to a plain shape. A structured, padded shoulder holds its own shape; an unlined, soft-tailored jacket takes yours.

Women's Blazers

How do you measure your shoulder width for a blazer?

Stand straight and have someone run a soft tape across your back from the bony point of one shoulder to the other, keeping it level rather than following the curve. Most women measure between 14 and 17 inches, roughly 36 to 43 cm. Match that figure to the jacket's shoulder measurement, taken seam to seam across the back. Shoulders are the one part a tailor cannot easily alter, so size to them and have the waist and sleeves adjusted instead.

What is the difference between a single-breasted and a double-breasted blazer?

A single-breasted blazer carries one column of buttons, and the fronts lap over each other only slightly, which keeps a narrow, vertical line. A double-breasted blazer carries two columns, usually four or six buttons in total, and laps one front panel deep across the other, with only one of the columns doing any fastening. That deeper overlap adds width across the chest and a squarer outline, and the style is normally worn closed, whereas a single-breasted jacket looks right open or fastened.

Are DIHSAN's blazers authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN blazer order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a blazer purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible blazers can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
