Women's T-Shirts
There is nothing on a T-shirt to hide behind, so the knit does the work. Fine combed and ring-spun jersey runs smooth and falls close to the body; heavier, coarser jersey stands away from it and holds a boxy line. Necklines follow suit, as crew and mock necks close the chest, V and scoop necks open it, and boat necks widen the shoulder.
Sleeves shorten to a cap or run to the elbow or the wrist; hems stop at the rib, the waist or well past the hip. Fitted, relaxed, boxy and oversized cuts each change how much of that jersey moves. Cotton and cotton blends do most of the work here, with modal and viscose adding fluidity to the drape and linen loosening the surface. Rib trims at the neck, twin-needle hems and tonal or printed graphics finish the shirt.
