Palm Angels

A fairly small set. Logo lettering in the label's curved and classic forms does most of the work, spray-paint and splatter effects break it up, the palm the name points to turns up as a print, and an embroidered bear runs across sweatshirts and hoodies. They are applied as prints, embroidery or intarsia depending on the garment, and they rotate rather than being fixed to one product. Recognising them is the simplest way to place a piece when no name is visible on it.

Turn them inside out and wash cool, since heat is what cracks a screen print and shrinks a cotton loopback fleece. Skip the tumble dryer and dry flat or on a line out of direct sun, which fades bright ground colours. If a garment needs pressing, iron on the reverse and keep the plate away from any printed area. Embroidered stripes are better not ironed directly at all.
