Men's Sweatshirts

Without a hood to shape it, a sweatshirt is read at the neck and the shoulder. A ribbed crew neck with a V-insert at the throat is the original, cut with set-in sleeves and a squared body, while raglan sleeves run the seam from underarm to collar and drop the shoulder into a softer slope. Half-zips and mock necks raise the collar for a cleaner finish, and boxy and oversized blocks change how much room sits through the chest.

Loopback terry, also sold as French terry, keeps a smooth jersey face with small uncut loops on the inside and stays light against the skin; heavier weights of the same knit feel denser and absorb more. Brushed fleece raises those loops into a soft nap that holds warmth, at some cost to shape over time. Ribbed collar, cuffs and hem lock the shape, twin-needle stitching takes the strain, and garment-dyed and pigment-washed finishes soften the colour from the first wear.
