Men's Polo Shirts
A polo sits at the halfway point between a T-shirt and a shirt, and the collar decides which way it leans. A firm ribbed collar above a two- or three-button placket stands up and holds its line all day; a soft knitted collar rolls and reads relaxed; a johnny collar drops the buttons entirely, and a quarter-zip replaces them with hardware. Sleeves follow the same reasoning: a ribbed cuff closes the arm neatly, while a plain hem lets it fall.
Fabric decides how it wears. Pique is knitted with a fine raised honeycomb texture that gives the cloth body and lifts it off the skin, so it stays cooler in humidity and keeps its shape instead of clinging. Smooth jersey trades that structure for softness and falls closer to the body. Mercerised cotton adds sheen and strength, merino and cotton-silk blends run finer, and a little elastane helps the knit recover. Side vents let the hem move over the hip, and mother-of-pearl buttons catch the light where plastic goes flat.
