Men's Skinny Pants
Stretch content decides whether a skinny pant is wearable all day. One to two percent elastane gives a rigid fabric just enough recovery to stop it bagging at the knee; two to three percent is the comfortable middle for a genuinely close cut; above that, or with a knit-backed construction, the fabric moves with the knee and the hip. Without stretch, a pant cut to the same measurements grips the leg instead of following it.
The cut narrows continuously from hip to ankle rather than tapering only below the knee, with leg openings commonly around 12 to 14 inches in circumference. Rises sit low to mid, and lengths run long enough to break at the shoe or stack above it. Stretch denim carries the category, alongside coated and waxed finishes, ponte and jersey knits, and twill and leather-look fabrics; ankle zips and gussets ease the pull-on where the opening is tightest.
