Women's Sweatpants & Joggers
The hem is what separates these two. A jogger gathers into a ribbed or elasticated cuff that sits at the ankle and holds the leg in a taper; an open-hem sweatpant falls straight and finishes wide, closer to a trouser in silhouette. Waistbands split the same way, either ribbed and elasticated with an internal or external drawcord, or flat and tie-fronted where the shape is meant to read less athletic.
Weight does the rest. French terry runs roughly 280 to 350 gsm with a looped, unbrushed back, breathable and suited to a mild day, while brushed fleece climbs past 350 gsm with a napped inside face and real warmth. Cuts range from slim and tapered to straight, wide and full-length, with side stripes, panelled seams, zip pockets and drawstring hems as the usual detailing.
