The 1DR is Diesel's signature shoulder bag, a compact structured shape closed with an enamelled oval D plaque across the front. It is made in smooth and grained leather as well as denim and coated canvas, in sizes running from a small cross-body up to a larger shoulder version, and it carries the same washes, coatings and crystal work Diesel applies to its clothing.

A raw hem is left cut and unfinished rather than turned under and stitched, so the edge frays gently with wear and washing. It is a deliberate detail rather than a fault, and the fraying usually settles after the first few washes. Because there is no hem allowance to let down, check the inside leg measurement carefully before choosing a size, and wash cold on a gentle cycle to keep the edge from running further than intended.
