Women's Shirts

Weave settles how a shirt behaves long before the cut does. Poplin is a flat plain weave that stays crisp and holds a sharp collar line; twill runs a diagonal rib that drapes heavier and resists creasing; oxford is a basket weave in thicker yarns, coarser to the touch and softening with wear. Cut takes over from there: fitted and tailored shirts follow the waist, relaxed and boyfriend shapes skim it, and oversized shirts run long enough to wear open over everything.

Collars run from classic point and spread through to button-down and stand, with cuffs single-button, double or elasticated. Tunics and shirt dresses extend the same construction past the hip. Cotton and cotton blends carry most of the range; linen wears cool in heat, while silk and viscose, often woven as satin, fall closer to the body. Buttons are mother-of-pearl or covered.

Women's Shirts

What is the difference between poplin, twill and oxford shirting?

All three are weaves rather than fibres, and in shirting they are most often cotton. Poplin is a simple over-under plain weave in fine yarns, so it is light, smooth and crisp, and takes a sharp pressed line. Twill weaves on a diagonal, which gives it drape, a softer hand and much better crease resistance, and it is usually woven denser than poplin, so it hangs heavier. Oxford uses thicker yarns in a basket weave, giving a visible texture and a more casual surface that softens with every wash.

How should a women's shirt fit across the shoulders and bust?

Start at the shoulder, because it is the one point that cannot be altered easily: the seam should land at the outer edge of your shoulder bone, not on the upper arm. For the body, measure the fullest part of your bust and allow roughly 5 to 10 cm of ease for a tailored fit, more for a relaxed one. If the placket pulls into an X between buttons, the chest is too tight regardless of the label size.

Are DIHSAN's shirts authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN shirt order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a shirt purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible shirts can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
