WOMEN'S

Women's Swimwear Tops

Support is what separates one swim top from another, and each style solves it a different way. Triangle and sliding-triangle shapes adjust at the neck and back, so a single top stretches across a range of sizes. Halters pull the load onto the neck and lift the bust high. Bandeaus drop the straps altogether and rely on the band alone. Underwire styles build the support into the garment and are usually sized in bands and cups the way a bra is, while moulded cups hold their shape without a wire.

Bralette and longline cuts spread that load across a deeper elastic band; balconette cuts sit wide and low, so the shaping happens in the cup rather than the band. Tie-front, twist and knot details take up slack through the centre. Crop and tankini tops carry the same structures further down the torso. Ribbed and crinkle knits, crochet and eyelet openwork, and smooth matte nylon-elastane each behave differently once wet: smooth knits hold their shape, while open and textured ones relax and want a firmer fit dry.

All FAQ's

Women's Swimwear Tops

How should a bikini top fit?

The band does most of the work, so it should sit level all the way around and stay put when you raise your arms. Straps take up only the remainder, and if you are tightening them to get support then the band is too loose. Cups should contain the bust without gaping at the top edge or spilling at the sides. Swim fabric relaxes once it is wet, so a top that feels exactly right when you try it on dry will feel looser in the water — go for the snugger of two sizes.

What is the difference between a bandeau and a bralette top?

A bandeau is a straight band of fabric across the bust with no straps and little shaping, held by elastic and sometimes a short bone at each side seam. A bralette has straps and shaped cups or panels but soft support rather than an underwire. A bandeau gives the cleanest neckline and the fewest tan lines but less hold; a bralette gives more shape and stays put better in the water. Many bandeaus include a detachable strap.

Are DIHSAN's swim tops authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN swim top order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a swim top purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible swim tops can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
