WOMEN'S

Women's Mid-Thigh Shorts

At mid-thigh, the cut of the leg opening matters more than the length itself. A straight opening sits level all the way round and reads clean; an angled or side-split hem lifts at the outer seam and gives the thigh room to move; a curved hem does the same more softly. Rise then sets the proportion: a high rise carries the waistband up towards the natural waist and lengthens the line of the leg, a mid-rise stays neutral, and a low rise draws the eye down to the hip.

Fabric decides whether the shape holds or follows. Tailored twill, linen and crepe keep a defined edge, sometimes with a crease and front pleats; denim sits firm and moulds with wear; knits divide, with ponte and French terry holding their structure while jersey drapes and gives. Detail gathers at the waist, in drawstrings, elasticated backs and belt loops, and again in welt or patch pockets, while the hem finishes plain, cuffed or raw.

All FAQ's

Women's Mid-Thigh Shorts

How do I stop shorts riding up between the thighs?

Ride-up comes from a leg opening narrower than the thigh at its widest, so friction pulls the hem upward. Look for a straight or slightly angled opening with at least an inch of room around the thigh, and an inseam long enough to put the hem below the widest point. Woven fabrics with a little stretch hold their position better than soft knits, and a gusseted crotch seam takes the strain off the inner leg, so there is less pulling the hem up in the first place.

What rise works best for mid-thigh shorts?

A high rise, generally, because it puts the waistband at the narrowest part of the torso and leaves the whole leg reading as one length below it. A mid-rise sits below the natural waist, around the top of the hip bone, and reads more relaxed without shortening the leg by much. Low rises shorten the visible leg and work best with a looser, straighter cut.

Are DIHSAN's mid-thigh shorts authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN mid-thigh shorts order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return mid-thigh shorts bought at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible mid-thigh shorts can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
