Neckline and sleeve settle a lounge top before the fabric does. Crewnecks close high at the base of the neck and layer under anything; henleys open a short placket for air; hoodies and half-zips add adjustable coverage at the throat. Sleeves run long or short, with sleeveless styles alongside them; dropped shoulders relax the whole silhouette, while set-in shoulders keep it closer to the body.

Weight then decides the season. Fine jersey and waffle knits work year-round, mid-weight French terry suits most rooms, and brushed fleece from around 350 gsm up handles genuinely cold mornings. Cotton and cotton-modal blends dominate, with cashmere and merino at the finer end. Ribbed cuffs and hems, kangaroo pockets, tonal embroidery and small chest logos supply the detail.
