How much a cloth gives decides how a pair of jeans wears. Rigid denim holds its line through the day and softens only where the body insists. A trace of elastane trades some of that structure for immediate ease, and recovery matters more than reach, since what springs back by evening is what keeps a fit honest.

Weight works alongside it. Lighter twill falls close to the leg; heavier cloth stands away and keeps the fades it earns. Cut follows from there: straight and wide legs want body in the fabric, barrel shapes need it to hold their curve, and slim fits lean on a little give. The same cloth carries the rest of DIHSAN's denim: jackets cut short and boxy, skirts from column to A-line, shirt dresses, and shorts in washes from deep indigo to bleached out.

Does rigid denim stretch out with wear?

Yes, and fairly predictably. A pair cut in rigid cotton denim usually gives about half an inch to a full inch at the waist within the first few wears, with more movement at the seat and knee where the fabric is worked hardest. Much of that comes back in the wash, and a warm wash with a tumble dry pulls it back further than a cold wash and a hang dry will. So it is worth buying to a snug but comfortably fastened fit rather than sizing up. Stretch blends travel further and recover further.

How do I measure rise and inseam on a pair I already own?

Lay the jeans flat and buttoned with the front smoothed out. Front rise is the distance from the top of the waistband down to the crotch seam: roughly 7 to 8 inches on a low rise, 9 to 10 on a mid rise, 11 to 12 on a high rise. Inseam runs from that same crotch seam straight down the inside leg to the hem, commonly 26 to 28 inches on a cropped pair and 30 to 34 on a full length.
