MEN'S

Men's Puffer Vests

How the fill is held in place tells you more about a puffer vest than its thickness does. Stitch-through quilting sews the outer shell straight to the lining in horizontal channels, pinning the down at every seam and keeping the profile trim; welded seams do the same job without the needle holes. Box-wall construction sets an internal strip of fabric between shell and lining, building a chamber deep enough for the insulation to loft fully, so the same fill reads warmer and rounder.

Some vests finish at a stand collar or funnel neck; others add a hood, zipped or press-stud handwarmer pockets, and elastic or drawcord hems that seal the base. Snap storm plackets and ribbed armhole binding change how much wind gets in, while a two-way zip lets the hem open up for movement. Shells move between matte nylon, glossy ripstop and technical taffeta, over goose down, duck down or recycled synthetic fill.

Men's Puffer Vests

What does fill power mean on a down vest?

Fill power measures how much space one ounce of down occupies in cubic inches, so 700 fill power means one ounce lofts to 700 cubic inches. Higher numbers indicate larger, fluffier clusters that trap more air per gram, which makes the vest warmer for its weight and easier to pack down. Roughly 550 to 650 suits mild conditions and 700 to 800 covers proper cold. Fill weight, the actual grams of down inside, matters just as much as fill power.

How do you store a puffer vest so it keeps its loft?

Hang it or lay it flat rather than leaving it compressed in a stuff sack, which permanently flattens the clusters over a season. If space is tight, a loose breathable cotton bag is far better than plastic, since down needs airflow and holds damp otherwise. Make sure it is completely dry before it goes away, and give it a shake and a few minutes on a hanger before wearing to bring the loft back up.

Are DIHSAN's puffer vests authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN puffer vest order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a puffer vest purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible puffer vests can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
