MEN'S

Men's Kimonos & Wraps

An open front changes how a garment moves. With no buttons pulling the panels into alignment, the cloth hangs from the shoulder and swings with the body, so the drape of the fabric rather than the fit through the chest does all the work. A tie or a belt at the waist gathers the whole thing into a shape when a shape is wanted, and releases it again the moment it is not.

Weight sorts the rest. Silk and viscose fall in long vertical folds and layer over a shirt with almost no bulk, while quilted and heavier woven versions hold their own volume and stand in as an outer layer. Sleeve width is generous by design and worth measuring against whatever goes underneath. Anything falling below the hip reads as a coat; shorter cuts sit nearer an overshirt and take a slim trouser beneath.

Men's Kimonos & Wraps

How is a kimono style meant to fit?

It hangs from the shoulder rather than following the body, so chest measurement matters less than shoulder width and sleeve length. The shoulder seam is often dropped well past the shoulder point on purpose, which makes the garment look oversized on the hanger and correct once on. Sleeves are cut wide, so measure them against whatever is worn underneath. Overall length and sleeve width are the two figures worth reading closely.

Can a wrap be worn as an outer layer?

That depends on weight. Quilted, lined and heavier woven versions hold their own shape and work over a shirt or a fine knit in mild weather. Silk and viscose versions carry no insulation and are better used as a layer over another garment indoors, or under a coat outside. Since there is no fastening beyond a tie, wind moves through the front opening: a belt closes the panels but does not seal them.

Are DIHSAN's kimonos authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN kimono order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a kimono purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible kimonos can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
