Men's Swimwear Bottoms

Swim shapes divide first by how much leg they cover and second by how the waist is held. Classic trunks sit short on the thigh with an elastic waistband and drawcord, while board shorts extend past mid-thigh toward the knee and fasten flat with a fly and lace closure so nothing bunches. Square-cut shapes keep a short, squared leg across the upper thigh, briefs remove the leg entirely for a clean swimming line, and jammers carry that close fit down toward the knee.

Linings decide comfort more than the shell does: a mesh brief drains fast and supports, a compression liner reduces friction over distance, and unlined shells run cooler on their own. Quick-dry polyester holds its colour longest against chlorine and sun, while recycled nylon sheds water with a softer hand. Bar tacks reinforce the stress points, a rear welt pocket drains through a small eyelet, and flatlock seams keep the inside smooth when wet.
