Men's Swimwear Tops
Coverage in the water is a different problem from coverage on land. A swim top is cut to sit close without gripping, to shed water rather than hold it, and to stay put when you move through a wave or lean back on a lounger. Close-cut rash guards do the sun and friction work in short or long sleeves; looser swim shirts and cropped zip tops sit further off the skin and read as clothing the moment you leave the sand.
Fabric is the tell. Stretch jersey with a high elastane content recovers its shape after every session and dries in the shade, while flatlock seams keep the shoulder from chafing under a strap. Necklines run from a plain crew to a short zip that lets heat out at the throat. Sizing runs closer than it does on a T-shirt, so a top that feels snug dry is usually the right one wet.
