Women's Flip Flops & Slides

Everything here comes down to one thing: what keeps the shoe on when you lift your foot. A flip flop uses a toe post gripped between the first two toes, so the sole follows the foot and flexes with it. A slide uses a single band across the instep instead, leaving the toes free and asking the foot to do the holding. From there the range spreads into padded pool slides, moulded footbed sandals, double-band and crossover styles.

Soles do the rest of the work. Moulded EVA and rubber stay light and shrug off water, cork and leather beds shape themselves to the foot over time, and a platform or low wedge lifts the whole thing. Uppers run from smooth and grained leather to suede, technical webbing and logo-embossed rubber.
