Longevity is a design decision before it is a virtue, and it shows in seam, fibre and finish rather than on a hangtag. This view gathers pieces cut from lower-impact materials — organic and recycled cottons, responsibly sourced wool, linen, and cellulosic fabrics spun from wood pulp — and made to stay in a wardrobe rather than pass through it.

Read the composition line first. A blend behaves differently in wash and wear than a single fibre, and it changes how a garment can be mended or recycled at the end of its life. Natural fibres crease and soften; recycled synthetics hold their shape and dry fast, which is why they turn up in outerwear and in the layers worn under it. Care instructions matter more here than in most categories, because the difference between a garment that lasts and one that wears out is usually laundry.
