Men's High Top Sneakers

The collar is the point of a high top, and how far it rises changes the shoe completely. Mid-tops stop just at the ankle bone and read closest to a low profile with extra structure. Full high tops climb above the ankle bone, padded and lined, closing the gap between shoe and boot. A handful go higher still, wrapping the lower shin with a zip or a strap.

Court silhouettes keep a slim cupsole and a clean, unbroken toe; basketball-derived shapes add moulded midsoles, ankle padding and reinforced eyestays. Skate-leaning versions sit on vulcanised rubber and build the collar and heel up for impact. Uppers run through smooth and tumbled calf leather, suede overlays, canvas and knit, with cupsole and vulcanised constructions giving very different amounts of flex underfoot.

All FAQ's

Men's High Top Sneakers

Do high top sneakers actually support your ankle?

They feel more secure, and a padded collar does limit how far the ankle rolls, but studies over several decades have not found a statistically significant reduction in ankle sprains from high tops on their own. Most of the stability people notice comes from lacing the top eyelets properly, from midsole firmness and from a heel counter that holds the foot down. Choose the height for warmth, structure and how you want the shoe to look.

How do you lace high top sneakers without cutting off circulation?

Lace the lower eyelets normally and leave a little slack across the instep, which is where pressure builds fastest, then tighten only the top two rows, since that is where the shoe actually needs to hold. A lace lock, made by feeding each lace through the loop formed on the opposite side at the top eyelet, holds the heel down without needing the whole shoe tight. If the top edge digs into your ankle bone, skip that eyelet altogether and tie off one row lower.

Are DIHSAN's high top sneakers authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN high top sneaker order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a high top sneaker purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible high top sneakers can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
