The Packing List

Packing is an editing problem before it is a shopping one. This edit is assembled the way a suitcase should be, with pieces that fold small, share a palette and change character between daylight and dinner, so a week away runs on a fraction of what a week at home takes.

Expect light layers for a cold plane and a warm arrival, dresses that need no iron to look considered, a sandal made for walking and a flat that carries an evening, and a bag with a strap long enough to leave both hands free. Nothing here asks to be babied, because a holiday is no place to be careful with clothes. The test applied throughout is simple: if a piece earns its space in only one setting, it stays home.

The Packing List

What should I look for in pieces meant for travelling?

Three things: how small it folds, how it looks after being folded, and how many settings it covers. Fabrics with some recovery, such as knits, jerseys and blended weaves, come out of a case ready to wear, while stiff cottons and structured tailoring rarely do. Then check whether the piece changes register with a shoe swap. Anything that suits one meal in one place is taking up room another piece could use.

How is a travel edit different from ordinary summer clothing?

Summer clothing only has to work at home, where a full wardrobe and an iron are ten steps away. Travel pieces have to work in sequence, out of a bag, in weather you guessed at weeks earlier. That pushes the selection towards a shared palette, layers thin enough to double up on a cold flight, and dresses that hold their shape unattended overnight. It is closer to building a capsule than to shopping a category.

Are DIHSAN's travel pieces authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN travel piece order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a travel piece purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible travel pieces can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
