Men's Ankle Boots

An ankle boot is defined by where the shaft stops — roughly three to seven inches above the heel seat, clearing the ankle bone without reaching the calf. What changes inside that range is how the boot gets on. Chelsea boots use elastic side gores and a pull tab; lace-up derby and combat styles adjust across the instep; side-zip designs keep a laced or strapped front and add a zip that opens the whole shaft.

Chukkas keep two or three pairs of eyelets and an open, derby-cut throat. Jodhpur and buckle-strap boots wrap the ankle instead. Underfoot, the choice runs from leather soles for dress wear to commando lug rubber for grip and chunky moulded units built for bulk. Uppers cover polished and grained calf leather, suede, nubuck and technical canvas, with almond, round and squared toes shifting the line.

All FAQ's

Men's Ankle Boots

How do you measure the shaft height of an ankle boot?

Stand the boot upright and measure in a straight line from the point where the upper meets the top of the heel to the highest point of the opening, leaving the heel itself out of the measurement. Anything from about three to seven inches counts as an ankle boot; a Chelsea usually lands near five inches and a chukka nearer four. Measure the circumference of the opening as well if you wear thick socks or have a high instep.

Do you size ankle boots the same as sneakers?

Usually half a size smaller. Sneakers are built on roomier lasts with padded collars and thick sock liners, while boots sit on a closer last and expect a proper sock rather than extra volume. Leather-soled dress boots often run a full size down from a sneaker. Measure your foot late in the day when it is at its largest, and leave about a centimetre of space beyond your longest toe.

Are DIHSAN's ankle boots authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN men's ankle boot order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a men's ankle boot purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible ankle boots can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
