Women's Tall Boots

Where the shaft stops on the leg does most of the work in a tall boot. Knee-high styles finish just below the kneecap and hold the classic proportion; over-the-knee and thigh-high shafts carry further up and change the line of everything worn with them, while slouch styles cut the shaft long on purpose and let the surplus gather down the calf. Riding boots keep a straight shaft against the calf over a low stacked heel, and where calf width is the sticking point, an elasticated gusset and a full-length zip solve it two different ways.

Heels run from flat and block through to stiletto, sometimes on a platform sole for height without the pitch. Smooth calfskin polishes up, suede and nubuck stay matte against the leg, and patent throws light back. Buckled straps and stitched seams read as dress detail; a lug sole is what marks a boot built for weather.

Women's Tall Boots

How do I measure my calf for tall boots?

Sit with your knee bent at about 90 degrees and your leg relaxed, then run a soft tape around the fullest part of your calf — roughly a third of the way down from the knee, though the exact spot shifts with leg length, so find it by feel rather than by a fixed height. Measure both legs and work from the larger number. Compare it to the boot's shaft circumference and look for about half an inch to an inch of ease, which leaves room for a sock without the shaft gaping. Keep the muscle relaxed rather than flexed or raised on tiptoe, since a contracted calf measures wider than the one the shaft actually has to sit around.

What is the difference between knee-high and over-the-knee boots?

Knee-high boots stop just below the kneecap, so the shaft ends where the leg still bends freely and the boot mostly stays put on its own. Over-the-knee styles continue past the joint onto the lower thigh, typically two to six inches higher, and usually need elastic panels, a back-of-leg zip or a tie to hold. The higher shaft also shortens the visible leg above it, which is why over-the-knee pairs sit best with shorter hems or slim trousers tucked in.

Are DIHSAN's tall boots authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.

Will I be charged duties on a DIHSAN tall boot order?

No. Duties are included on every DIHSAN order, and US orders include taxes as well.

Can I return a tall boot purchase at DIHSAN?

Yes. Eligible tall boots can go back within 14 days of the ship date, for store credit rather than cash, and shipping charges are non-refundable. Items discounted 70% or more — plus swimwear, intimates, and limited-release styles at any discount — are final sale.
