Vince's womenswear is largely a study in how cloth falls. Silk and fluid satin take a bias cut, so blouses and wide-leg pants move with the body instead of hanging stiffly; a cowl neckline is left to settle into soft folds, and a crepe dress is pleated at the neck so the drape runs down the front. Even the plainest pieces, a stretch-modal turtleneck or an elbow-sleeve tee, sit close and smooth.

Silk blouses include a button-front style finished with Agoya shell buttons, and a slip dress comes in a satin woven from Naia Renew acetate. Knitwear works in cashmere-silk, wool-cashmere and ribbed Italian wool-silk, while the Pima tees are blended with modal, including a shrunken '90s cut. Outerwear runs from a boxy ponte bomber and curly faux-fur jackets to a belted lambskin trench.

What does bias-cut mean, and how should Vince bias pants fit?

Bias-cut means the fabric is cut diagonally across the weave rather than along it, which helps it drape and give slightly with the body. On Vince's high-rise bias pants, that lets a wide leg fall cleanly from the hip, and the pull-on elastic waist means the fit is decided at the hip rather than the waistband. Choose by hip measurement, and store them folded, since bias-cut cloth can lengthen if left hanging.

What is a '90s shrunken T-shirt, and how should it fit?

A shrunken T-shirt is cut shorter and closer than a standard tee, a proportion borrowed from '90s dressing. On the Vince version the hem tends to sit at the waistband of high-rise trousers or jeans rather than over it. Your normal size gives the close fit it is designed for; going a size up adds ease through the body but only a little length. The fabric is machine washable.
