Vayder cuts to a menswear block, and that is the whole appeal of wearing it. A dropped shoulder sits square instead of slipping down the arm; a long body length reads as deliberate rather than accidentally oversized; a straight line through the hip stays straight. The Los Angeles label designs menswear, so these are the proportions it drafted for its own collection, not a scaled-down version of them.
Nothing is decorated for its own sake either. Heavyweight cotton and firm twill do the work that trim and print would do elsewhere, and the eighties and nineties turn up in the placement of a graphic or the set of a pocket rather than in a surface effect. Sizing follows men's conventions — letters on jersey, inch waists on trousers — so the flat measurements on each product page are worth reading against something you already own rather than converting.
