Eleventy

Ease without slouch is a harder brief than it sounds, and it is the one Eleventy sets itself in womenswear. The Milanese label applies the same method here as it does across the house: take the stiffening out of a tailored piece, then let cloth of real quality hold the shape instead. A blazer ends up soft enough to push the sleeves up and clean enough to wear straight over a dress without looking undone.

The women's world runs on those soft-tailored jackets, on wide or straight trousers cut to fall from the hip, on knitwear in cashmere and fine wool, and on light outerwear that layers without bulk. Colour is deliberately narrow, in ivory, camel, grey, navy and black, so pieces combine without thought, and detail is kept to a well-set collar or a patch pocket rather than hardware. How should Eleventy knitwear be washed?

Check the care label on the individual piece first, since the blends vary and some are finished for dry cleaning only. Where hand washing is allowed, cashmere and fine wool do best in cool water with a wool-specific detergent, and badly with wringing. Press the water out flat, reshape while damp and dry away from direct heat. Store folded rather than hung so the shoulders keep their line, and leave a piece to rest for a day between wears so the fibres recover their loft.

Does Eleventy use Italian sizing for women?

Yes. Women's pieces are labelled on the Italian scale, where 38 corresponds roughly to a US 2 or UK 6, 40 to a US 4, 42 to a US 6 and 44 to a US 8. Because the tailoring is unstructured and the trousers are usually cut to fall from the hip rather than grip it, garments tend to read a little more generously than a canvassed jacket carrying the same number would.

Are DIHSAN's designer pieces authentic?

Yes. Every piece DIHSAN sells is the brand's own — genuine designer product, with the maker's hardware, stamping and markings intact. Nothing is a reproduction or a licensed imitation.
