DEKE, a Canadian label, does the opposite: its fabrics are woven at partner mills in Italy and Japan, then cut on tailoring lines, so a garment reads as cloth rather than as equipment. The usual tells are missing — no contrast panels, no bonded seams, no synthetic sheen — and the technology only explains itself once a piece is on and moving.
What that buys is a long day in one outfit. Tailored shorts keep a flat front through hours of sitting, and the knits and t-shirts recover their shape instead of holding whatever position they were last left in. Sizing follows menswear convention, waist inches on the bottoms and letters on the tops, so the flat measurements printed on each product page are the surest guide when a piece falls between two sizes.
