Wash cool on a gentle cycle and hang the shirt straight away, still damp, on a shaped hanger. Most of the creasing drops out on its own as it dries, which is the point of the fabric. Keep it away from a hot tumble dryer, since heat degrades the elastane that gives the cloth its recovery. If pressing is needed, use a medium iron and work the collar and cuffs from the underside.

Microcheck is a woven check pattern at very small scale, usually only a few millimetres across. From a distance the two colours blend into what looks like a solid tone, and the pattern only resolves close up. That makes it a useful way to add texture to a coat or jacket without introducing a visible pattern, and it pairs with plain shirting far more easily than a bolder check would.
